Stayed in the area, and honestly there arent a lot of places to choose from, but man, im glad we tried this place. The staggering was friendly, and the bartender was a trip. Food was some of the best around, and the key lime pie was absolutely the best I had! Priced were reasonable, place was clean. Definitely a local place, but totally worth the pit stop!

We stopped here after seeing the key lime listed as one of the best in the Keys, and it did not disappoint! We started with the conch fritters. My husband really enjoyed them. I didn’t die to the actual texture of the conch. The flavor was good, though. We had Mahi sandwiches, which were also delicious. The reason for the stop, the Key Lime Pie, was 100% worth the stop! It was the best key lime pie we had on our trip to the keys. Everything is made in house from the crust up to the whipped cream. If you’re looking for a tasty dessert in the Keys, this is a must stop.

Wonderful, low key meal at S.S. Wreck. They had live music and amazing entrees. We ordered the ahi tuna appetizer, full rack of ribs, and mild wings (which were very hot!) Finally, we ordered the famous key lime pie & chocolate cake. Although I didn’t try the cake, it looked delicious. However….the key lime pie was absolutely the BEST I’ve ate in the keys. The slice was gigantic, enough for 3 people and the favors were smooth, creamy, and tart. Highly recommended!!! I’d definitely come back for that again!

We enjoyed this place so much we had to come back a second time before we headed home. We had Matt as our server both times. Matt knows his stuff. Definitely take his recommendations! The best Bloody Mary’s around!!! shout out to grill cook steaks were perfect! Can’t say enough about the food! Best key lime pie I have ever tasted!!

A must stop when visiting or passing through Fat Deer Key! Our server Matt was great and made us feel like we had been friends for a long time! The food is all good and plentiful! The cook did a great job on everything we ordered! Parking had some huge potholes but we were in a truck. Saturday night they had live music. We were visiting in October and we went early dinner to make sure we had no wait.

Matt is the best server I’ve had in a while! He took great care of us- was fun, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu… and brought us ALL the good sauces! The food was amazing! The Ahi Tuna was the best! Will definitely be back!

Enjoyed my meal... Buffalo chicken salad was delicious and had a generous portion of well cooked chicken. Took home a slice of key lime pie that lived up to the hype. Portion sizes are good and pricing is reasonable for the area. Super nice staff...my waitress Joe was a sweetheart and had a nice conversation with Matt.
